About

Bryan Valadez holds a BFA in Studio Art and a BA in Art History from Texas State University.

After graduating, he sought out classical training at Angel Academy, an art atelier in Florence, Italy. There he studied under one of the school’s instructors, Davide Barbini, an Italian artist whose vast knowledge helped Bryan expand his repertoire in painting.

Bryan’s approach to his craft is rooted in the ways of the old masters, taking inspiration from artists such as Michelangelo, Frederick Church and Monet. He paints in a blended style, combining qualities from impressionism, realism and romanticism. Through travel and photography, he picks out certain images that would translate well on a canvas.

Currently Bryan is based in Dallas - He is working on a thirteen painting series on the city of Pasto, Colombia. While reflecting on his personal experiences in the country, he focuses on representing the culture, history and lifestyle of the city. An exhibition of the paintings is expected in the US and Colombia.
